Another British Referee in Carmarthenshire
Our
three national officials were at work in Glasgow this month for the
British International Open. Several countries were represented at the
event but the most important news to report is Nia's promotion to
British Referee. She was assesed throughout the championships by a host
of international officials, including those on the British Refereeing
Comission. But it was Wales' Chico Mbakwe, chief referee at the event,
that made the announcement and presented Nia with her badge. It is
excellent news for the club, as it means that Carmarthenshire, in Nia
and Dan, now has two British officials once again, following Mair's
elevation to European Judge earlier this year.
