New Competition Club Opening in Carmarthen

Karate is opening its first dedicated competition club for those who
are interested in the sport element of karate. In an expansion that
will see a slight change to the Sunday training format, new and
existing members will be welcomed to the new club from the 5th
September.
Sunday's traditional karate training will remain from 5pm to 6pm and will now be open to participants of all abilities. The competition club will then take place from 6pm to 7pm and will also be open to participants of all abilities. Click here for the full schedule.
One of the main aims of the club is to develop talent for our squad and to provide the means for people who are keen to compete to do so. In this regard, the club will benefit from the experience of our coaches, who are all highly qualified referees, and our existing squad members.
There are several events in our calendar that are suitable for fighters of various ages and abilities, culminating in Welsh and British National Championships. For those with greater ambition and who show the necessary capability, this platform could lead to Welsh National Squad training with the Welsh Karate Governing Body and the chance to represent Wales internationally.
