history
Cefneithin Karate Club launched in January 2011 following an invitation from members of the village committee to start classes at “Y Neuadd”. Two of Carmarthenshire Karate’s existing instructors, Dan and Nia took up the invitation and before we knew it the club was thriving, attracting new members from the whole area and becoming an excellent addition to Carmarthenshire Karate’s weekly schedule.

We are always welcoming new members into the group but those first students that joined are leading the way in their karate progress, inching closer to the coveted black belt. Our first competitors have been representing Cefneithin at local and national level too, bringing back several medals to the club – including Welsh National titles – and inspiring their fellow students to have a go. This type of extra curricular activity has been welcomed by local schools, complementing both academic and sporting achievements.

The club has thoroughly enjoyed its involvement in such a friendly community, especially with the return of Party Cornel Carwyn where we have conducted several karate demonstrations during the festivities.
