Mair and Dan kicked off the international competition year by officiating at the Karate1 Premier League in the French capital. It was their first chance to make use of the recent WKF competition rule changes, in a year that will see athletes challenging for a place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, where karate will be making its debut.
Congratulations to Nia Thomas and Mina Cook for their success at the Carmarthen Town Sports Awards. Nia retained her title with first place in the Junior Female (U13) category, while Mina was joint second in the Youth Female (U18) category. Special mention to fellow squad members Max Ryan-Davies and Ben Williams, who were also nominated but not successful this time.
We saw an excellent standard across both sessions of the end-of-year grading examinations at Carmarthenshire Karate. Congratulations to all those who passed, and especially those who exceeded their expectations and targets.
