CKC2020

Carmarthenshire Karate host an annual youth open championships, currently looking forward to its 7th edition. The event attracts the best teams and competitors from across Wales each year, leading to a close contest at the top of the medal table. Competitors benefit from repechage in all categories and the cadet and junior kata categories have been judged using the latest WKF points-based system for the last two years – the first championships in Wales to do so.

*** CKC2020 – Cancelled ***

Unfortunately, it will not be possible for us to run this year’s edition of the Carmarthenshire Karate Championships. Given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic., it would not be possible for us to carry out the event in a safe and sustainable way. We’ll be back as soon as we can though.

Here’s how results have panned out in the last few years.

WSKO 9 4 6
JKS 5 6 7

In 2019, WSKO regained their table-topping position with a dominating performance. JKS also made a dramatic move up the medal table, jumping from the bottom last time around to second place this year.
